JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police are looking for suspects involved in ten Ford van thefts on the Westside.
Over the past 30 days ten Ford vans, including E-Series, Econoline and Club Wagon models, have been stolen from commercial buildings including churches, shopping centers, and a school, according to a release from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. Of the vans stolen, nine were white and one was blue in color.
The method of entry into the vans varies, as well as suspect descriptions.
Only two of the vans have been recovered and each were recovered in the area in which they were originally stolen.
Magical Beginning Learning Academy is now learning to live with with two vans instead of three. The child care center had one of its vans stolen on Valentine's Day. It came as a shock to staff.
"We thought we had everything secure," said Mia Hicks who works at the center and uses the vans to transport children. The center know parks its vans close to the front door and the steering wheels are now locked with bar to deter anyone from thinking stealing them.
Anyone who has any information about the location of this wanted suspect is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500.
