45-year-old sex offender sentenced to secure facility for control, care and treatment.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 45-year-old man was sentenced Tuesday evening to indefinite confinement to the Florida Civil Commitment Center in Arcadia, Fla. A jury determined Isidor Hernandez is a sexually violent predator and should be housed at a commitment center, according to a State Attorney's press release.

Hernandez was sentenced to 11 years in prison after pleading guilty to a count of sexual battery with a deadly weapon or force in 2005. The incident occurred in 2004 when he grabbed and forced a woman in a vacant residence and then forced the victim to have sex with him before fleeing the scene.

According to the press release, experts have reviewed Hernandez's case and determined that he suffers from a personality disorder, which makes him likely to engage in sexually violent acts if not confined for long periods of time.
