Kyle Yearby told witness he had permission to do it, arrest report says
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A 29-year-old man accused of molesting an 11-year-old boy at a school bus stop told a witness that the child's mother gave him permission to do it, police said.
A witness said she was walking through her neighborhood on Oak Park Way when she noticed a man and a boy making out and touching each other at the bus stop. The witness said the two were kissing on the lips and neck and touching each other's private parts.
The witness asked the two their ages and then went to call 911.
Kyle Yearby yelled at the witness that he wouldn't be going to jail because he had permission to do it, the arrest report said.
The child's mother refuted Yearby's statements and told investigators that she would never have allowed him to be near her son if she knew what was going on.
"Mom says it's not true. Obviously, any parent would not allow this to occur, or at least we'd hope that's not the case," said Orlando police Sgt. Jim Young.
Yearby was charged with lewd or lascivious molestation, lewd or lascivious behavior, disorderly conduct and disturbing school functions.
