GLEN ST. MARY, Fla. -- Several individuals were charged Sunday afternoon in connection with cockfighting.
Officers were called to a residence in the 18000 block of Timberland Road on reports of cockfighting, according to an offense report from the Baker County Sheriff's Office.
Found on the premises were live chickens in crates, a pile of dead chickens, spurs and an injectable medicine that controls blood loss in game fowls, according to the report.
Among those arrested were a 17-year-old juvenile whose name was withheld; Jeffrey Griffis, 35; Morgan Jones, 19; Timothy Bennett, 48; Makayla Burnham, 18; and Michael Burnsed, 22.
