JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A 41-year-old Jacksonville man pleaded guilty Tuesday in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 14-year-old boy.

Lucious Hester was sentenced for leaving the scene after his car hit and killed D'Quan Armstrong in August 2013. Hester was convicted in October 2013.

Prosecutors say Hester was speeding at the time and made no immediate effort to reach authorities after hitting Armstrong.

Hester was sentenced to five years in prison and five years probation as part of a plea deal.
