JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Griffin Furlong's inspiring story continues to open hearts as word of "the homeless valedictorian" continues to go viral. His story is also opening wallets.

Since First Coast News shared Griffin's story May 18, his GoFundMe college fund has received more than $20,000 in donations, with another $10,000 promised from one local source alone.

FCN receives daily calls and emails from others offering to help the First Coast News valedictorian achieve his dream of attending Florida State University.
