JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office sent a SWAT team to a Westside home after a friend stopped a police officer.

Lt. Jesse York told First Coast News, the woman approached an officer at a nearby gas station. She told the officer she had not heard or seen from a close friend and she had access to his house.

The officer then went to the house with the woman. When they went inside, they heard a voice and a gunshot. They were not hurt, but left the house out of concern for their safety.

JSO tells First Coast News the situation has ended, but we do not yet know the result.

No word on the relationship between the resident and the woman.
