MAYPORT, Fla. -- The USS Halyburton left Wednesday on its final deployment before being decommissioned later this year.

The ship and its crew are on a five-month deployment to assist with Operation Martillo, which works to target "illicit trafficking routes" in Central American waters, according to a release from Naval Station Mayport Public Affairs Officer William Townsend.
