JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A city bus was involved in a minor crash Sunday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Jacksonville Transit Authority bus and a car collided on Beach Boulevard just after 9 a.m.
The driver of the car, 24-year-old Mikeya Shandte'K Rhone, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Memorial Medical Facility for treatment, according to FHP. The car suffered $7,500 in damage.
The white JTA bus pulled out in front of Rhone's Pontiac Grand AM onto Beach Blvd. from Camden Avenue and the car collided with the right side of the bus, according to the crash report.
The bus was being driven by Tanya Morgan, 45. One passenger was on-board at the time of the crash. Neither were injured.
Both of the drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
