JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A huge crowd gathered Thursday night at The Marriott Southpoint for the Jewish Family and Community Services "You Can Count On Us" event.
JFCS has provided well needed programs and resources, including food and emergency shelter for those in need, to the Jacksonville community for the past 96 years.
In 2003, JFCS began providing community-based child protection services.
Honorary co-chair Delores Barr Weaver said the services of JFCS go far beyond the Jewish community.
"They serve everybody. They don't turn anyone away. That's a really great thing for the community," Weaver said.
