ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- A car suspected of being a methamphetamine lab was towed away by investigators Monday.
Neighbors reported a suspicious vehicle in the 1100 block Kerri Lynn Road. Upon making contact, deputies allegedly saw what appeared to be the precursors to make methamphetamine in the vehicle.
The St. John's County Sheriff's Office investigated for several hours starting at 8:30 a.m. and a decontamination area was set up for suspects and investigators.
Three suspects were arrested following the bust, 28-year-old Amanda Paige Albert, 37-year-old Scott Christopher Smith and Victor Vance Alden, 59.
Albert is charged with drug possession, drug equipment possession, drug production and methamphetamine possession. Smith is charged with drug equipment possession, drug production and methamphetamine possession. Alden is charged with drug trafficking.
Both Albert and Smith are being held without bond. Alden is being held on a $100,000 bond.
Additional charges in the case are expected as the criminal investigation continues. Albert is also suspected of making meth at her grandmother's home in Jacksonville.
