MACCLENNY, Fla. -- A boil water was issued Sunday for residents of Macclenny.
The City recommends boiling water for at least one minute before drinking.
According to the City of Macclenny's website, the boil notice is due to a water main break at North 5th Street and Stansell Street.
The boil notice will remain in effect until the water is tested for bacteria.

Due to a water main break at N 5th Street and Stansell Street, you might experience an interruption of service. The City of Macclenny advises you as a precautionary measure to boil your water for a minimum of 1 minute for drinking or cooking purposes. Bottled water may be used as an alternative. The precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until the City is confident through bacterial testing that the water is safe to drink. You will be notified when the boil water notice is rescinded. These measures have been taken to ensure the safety and welfare of the people we serve.
