ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Four people were rescued early Sunday morning after their boat flipped in the waters of St. Augustine.

According to the St. Johns County Fire Rescue, the small boat carrying four passengers overturned in the Matanzas River just after midnight near the Matanzas Inlet Bridge.

The passengers were able to climb on a nearby piling and wait for rescue.

Crews from SJCFR used two jet-skis to bring the stranded passengers to shore. No injuries were reported.

The Florida Wildlife Commission is investigating the cause.
