JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A water main that broke overnight is now fixed.

It happened at the corner of Allison St. and Broadway Ave.

JEA Spokeswoman Gerri Boyce said crews responded around 1:30 a.m.

They dug a large hole in the street to reach the 8'' pipe.

It took several hours for the repairs to be made.

Crews had a significant amount of water, dirt and mud to clean up. The hole was filled in preparation for the street to be repaved.

Boyce said only three residential customers were impacted.

Broadway had to be shut down from Huron to St. Clair, but it reopened around 1 p.m.
