JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A Jacksonville fire marshal is suspended for 10 days because of racist remarks he's accused of making during a planning meeting.

According to our news partners at the Florida Times Union, JFRD Fire Marshal Kevin Jones was accused by a co-worker of using the N-word at a planning meeting for the Welcome to Rockville concert.

Spokesman Tom Francis said Jones received notice of the disciplinary action Friday and acknowledged the discipline by signing it.
