JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- There are baby teeth, and then there are the teeth with which Andree Walker was born.

Andree was born at UF Health about 4 a.m. Thursday with two teeth already intact, her mother Laverta Stephens told First Coast News.

It doesn't happen every day. In fact, just about one in every 2,000-3,000 babies are born with natal teeth, according to the National Institute of Health.

Nurses were shocked when they spotted the tiny teeth, Stephens told FCN.

The teeth may be uncomfortable for nursing mothers, NIH said. That's why Stephens said she does not plan to breastfeed little Andree.
