JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville Fire and Rescue responded to an apartment fire Friday evening.

Heavy black smoke when showing when crews arrived in the 3100 block of Belden Street, according to fire crews on scene. Ammunition was reportedly going on the first floor of one of the apartments effected by the blaze. Flames were also reaching into the attic of the two story building.

At least one patient was being tended to by first responders and the district chief arrived on scene assuming command.
