CAMDEN COUNTY, Ga. -- The missing dairy cow who answers to the name "Daisy" is back at her Waverly home.
Daisy's owner, Karen Street, said the fawn-colored cow wandered off last week, then remained missing for days, despite a community-wide missing cow alert.
Daisy returned home late Friday night. She was dehydrated, covered in bug bites, scared and a whole lot slimmer, said Street.
"I want to thank everyone that was involved in Daisy's rescue," said Street. She said the Camden County Sheriff's Office stood by her from writing up the missing cow report, to spreading the word door-to-door, to alerting local news organizations and even on Friday night when Daisy was led out of the woods.
"Without everyone's help and support, Daisy would still be lost," said Street. "I know if Daisy could understand, she would say thank you also."
