JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A 66-year-old woman who was killed while walking in a crosswalk on the Westside just before 6 a.m. Thursday morning has been identified.

The Florida Highway Patrol identified the victim in a press release as Patricia Giuffre.

The report says, 34-year-old Detra Williams was driving northbound on Blanding Boulevard in a Dodge Ram 1500 when she hit the victim who was walking Westbound on Blanding Blvd in dark clothing. The victim was attempting to cross the roadway against the traffic control device. Sgt. Roger Thomas with FHP said the woman in the pick-up had the right of way.

Charges are pending at this time.
